Cinnamon & Vanilla Sugar Body Scrub


For me this year’s pumpkin spice latte and warm sweater season officially began.  In my opinion it’s a perfect moment to switch from my favourite lemon and rosemary body scrub to the autumn/winter cinnamon and vanilla version. I could write the whole book about benefits of using homemade natural beauty products on your skin, but I will only limit myself to say, that this particular scrub will make your skin soft and smooth. And obviously you will know what you put on your body. And it definitely smells like Christmas (so if you’re looking for some DIY-Christmas-gift-idea you still have plenty of time to test the recipe).


  • ½ cup of sweet almond oil (you can also use coconut oil)
  • 1 ½ cup of cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp. of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of ground vanilla
  • 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil (optional)
  • 10 drops of vanilla essential oil (optional)

In a bowl combine the oil, the spices and the sugar. Mix together and put the ready product into an airtight container (it should have the paste-like consistency)Since the product doesn’t contain fresh juice or herbs, there’s no need to keep it in the fridge.
